Having spent the last six years building The Colour Room brand and establishing the salon and its team as key players in the UK hairdressing industry, salon owners, Sean Tetlow and Claire Smith felt that 2009 was the right time to open their second salon.  And so, when the prefect location and opportunity presented itself in the Spring, the pair quickly grasped the opportunity and set about radical restructuring and refurbishment plans for the new salon at 2, Green Lane, Timperley (close to the Hale / Timperley border).

With all the work completed and beautiful new contemporary furniture and fittings in place, The Colour Room Hair & Beauty opened for business in August 2009.  The Timperley salon encompasses all the qualities and values of the Stockport salon, with exceptional hairdressing and world class customer care, but provides a quieter, more intimate environment in its provincial setting away from the hubbub of the high street.  Clients at Timperley can also enjoy the services of professional beauty therapist, Kath Mason, whose established, exclusive beauty salon operates from the basement of the salon premises and whose brand will develop under The Colour Room umbrella.

Sean Tetlow said “We are enormously excited about the opening of our second salon and feel that everything has come together perfectly for us this year.  Finding the perfect location at exactly the right time and having the right team in place to move forward is a logistical nightmare, but everything about the new Timperley salon has just fallen into place and Claire and I feel really confident about this expansion of The Colour Room brand.”

Claire adds “After a couple of years fruitless searching for new premises and agonising about the potential location of a second salon, when were approached to take on the salon at Timperley, it seemed like a God-given opportunity that ticked every box for us strategically and commercially.  With the support of our business partners, Wella (UK) Ltd and the tenacious, “can-do” approach of our very own “Bob the Builder”, Wayne Bradford, who  project managed the on-site work,  we were able to complete the refurbishment to exceptionally high standards and open the new salon in record time.  And the whole team are very excited at the prospect of working hard to build the same level of success at Timperley that we have enjoyed during the last six years at The Colour Room, Stockport.”
