When Sean founded The Colour Room 17 years ago, his vision was to create an environment that would rival the world’s top salons. With absolutely no compromises on customer care and exceptional hairdressing, Sean has built an award-winning business, an award-winning team and an army of loyal clients who have been with The Colour Room from day one. Sean’s creative work has graced the pages of Vogue and Marie Claire, as well as the likes of Hair Magazine, Hair Now and Your Hair too many times to mention!
Renowned for his precision cuts and attention to detail, Sean’s passion for perfect hairdressing and The Colour Room experience is as strong now as it ever was. Sean has picked up an enviable number of awards in his career, including Midlands Hairdresser of the Year, Creative Head Image of the Year, Fellowship Image of the Year and Hair Magazine Image of the Year. He’s also collected five British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Leah - Salon Manager
Joining The Colour Room from school, Leah quickly made her mark in the world of hairdressing in the UK and beyond. Multi-award-winning stylist to the celebs, Leah’s hairdressing career has spanned TV and international stage and session work and her gorgeous styles have graced the pages of the world’s top hair and fashion magazines. Her specialty is creating beautiful, wearable hair; anything from colour work and hair extensions to bridal hair.
Leah has won many prestigious awards and in 2014 she became a ‘fellow with honours’ from the Fellowship for British Hairdressing for her outstanding contribution to the hairdressing industry. She has also completed the L'Oreal Colour specialist Degree - the industry benchmark for hair colouring. Leah has many loyal clients who come back to her because she builds a friendly relationship with people and they trust her with their hair. Leah is The Colour Room’s anchor and she is brilliant at managing the team, helping to look after clients and making sure that everything is running smoothly on the salon floor.
Mark - Director
With 41 years in hairdressing, Mark is a highly experienced member of our team. Before joining The Colour Room, Mark ran a franchise for Toni and Guy for 20 years. He is a skilled colourist too and was a colour technician at Wella for 12 years.
His specialism is ladies and gents cutting and he is inspired by the technique of well-known stylists Keith Harris and Tim Hartley. He most admires Toni Mascolo for being a fantastic business leader who looks after his team. When clients come to The Colour Room, Mark says they can expect to find a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere where clients are valued and a great head massage.
Lianne - Director
Lianne has been a member of The Colour Room family for nearly 16 years and she loves looking after clients and going the extra mile for them. She believes that customer service is really important – that’s why she qualified for her NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service Skills. She is a good all-round hair hairdresser and is especially good with naturally curly hair.
Her celebrity hair crush has to be Kendall Jenner – her hair always looks thick, healthy and shiny. When you visit The Colour Room, you will always be greeted with a smile, a lovely atmosphere and great coffee, says Lianne. “We make sure that you get what you want from your stylist – we want you to leave feeling happy, confident and in love with your new hair”.
Gemma - Senior Colour Technician
After starting her hairdresser training in Manchester, Gemma joined The Colour Room 16 years ago and has completed our professional training programme. She is now our resident colour expert and our clients love her for her incredible knowledge and skill. Gemma’s talent helped her win the prized L’Oréal colour trophy in 2019, where she was awarded the best in the region and third place nationally.
Gemma admires international creative director Angelo Seminara for his imagination, skill and creative artistry and she’d love to colour the hair of celebrity colour addict Kelly Osborne.
Kate - Senior Colour Technician
Kate joined the Colour Room nine years ago after completing her apprenticeship at Stockport College. She then completed our professional in-house training and is a now one of our expert colourists. Kate loves being part of the creative team at The Colour Room and has a real passion for colouring, especially highlighting.
She’s inspired by the colouring superstar Sofia Hilton and she’d love to work on Jennifer Lopez’s hair. For Kate, what sets The Colour Room apart from other salons are the great atmosphere, the friendly and approachable staff and the amazing customer service it provides.
Paisley - Creative Stylist/Colour Technician
An expert in both styling and colouring, Paisley has been hairdressing for 20 years, having started as a Saturday girl when she was just 14. Paisley is an inspirational hairdresser who knows her craft inside out and who possesses the breadth of experience, confidence and styling vision to make any client feel assured that their hair is in the best possible hands.
If it’s an exquisite style or hair-up for a special occasion you need, then Paisley has a wealth of bridal and special occasion hair experience. For her clients, Paisley’s priorities are fostering a sense of confidence and trust in an environment that is welcoming, professional and creates amazing hair.
Mia - Senior Stylist/Colour Technician
Mia has been in hairdressing since was 15 and has worked at The Colour Room for five years now. She loves her craft, especially hair extensions and creating hair transformations. Mia always puts her clients at ease when they visit us and she takes the time to get to know them.
With such passion for hair extensions, it’s little wonder that celebrity hair extensionist Jay Birmingham is her inspiration. She’d love to style Kim Kardashian’s hair – well who wouldn’t?
Claire - Colour Technician
Claire started at The Colour Room as a Saturday girl at the tender age of 14 and went on to complete her training through our in house training. She has a natural eye for colour and is a valued member of our team, Claire believes that The Colour Room has very high standards and always gives a professional, yet friendly service. We couldn’t agree more!
Jade - Senior Stylist
Jade only joined the team recently, but she’s already become part of The Colour Room family. Jade has been a hairdresser for 25 years and she specialises in cutting and styling. She admires Vidal Sassoon for his ability to cut hair into a fantastic bob.
Inspired by her sister and mum to become a hairdresser, Jade likes to keep up to date with the latest hair trends and always gives exceptional service. She believes that there are three reasons why clients love The Colour Room - fantastic customer service, friendly staff and a professional team.
Tara - Senior Stylist
A new member of The Colour Room team, Tara has been hairdressing for 25 years having trained at the renowned Michaeljohn Academy. Tara’s speciality is creative re-styling. She cites her strength as a hairdresser in her ability to interpret and visualise the perfect combination of colour, style and shape for her clients - perfect if you’re looking for inspiration to re-imagine your look.
For Tara, the three most important elements of The Colour Room are the creation of perfect cuts and colours that clients will love; the friendly and exceptional service clients receive; and for the team, the great working environment the salon provides.
Daniel - Senior Stylist/Colour Technician
Another new member to our team Daniel has over 20 years of experience an expert in both cutting and colouring. A fun and vibrant character you will leave the salon feeling fabulous.
Natasha - Stylist
A rising star at The Colour Room, Natasha has been with the salon for three years now, starting out as a Saturday girl, and then joining full time to commence her hairdressing apprenticeship.
Already, Natasha has a wealth of knowledge and a real passion for her craft. Always keeps a close eye on the work UK’s top iconic hairdressers, gaining inspiration in many ways. As well as exceptional hairdressing, Natasha is passionate about the care and attention clients receive at The Colour Room.
Daniel - Stylist
Daniel joined The Colour Room over two years ago to commence his hairdressing career and has proven himself to be an invaluable member of the team. Inspired by the hair styles of the celebrities – his hair crush is Harry Styles. Daniel’s vision is to create styles and colours that are unique, but still natural.
Daniel is keen to develop his all-round hairdressing skills and is excited to be learning and working to identify his ultimate speciality. Whilst still undergoing his training, Daniel is open minded about where his hairdressing creativity will take him. What he is sure about, is the importance of creating a welcoming and professional environment for clients to enjoy.

Newest member of the team ambitious and hard working Paige has began The Colour Room training program.

Our lovely front-of-house Phoebe has been working in salons for five years. With lots of hair knowledge, she joined us two years ago and has helped clients make their appointments ever since.
